You joined the company’s flower viewing party that involves drinking refreshments such as alcohol
at the behest of your superiors. It was a beautiful place famous for its wisteria trellises, a view so
vivid yet so dream-like that makes it seem to have been cut out straight from a fairy tale.

While sitting together with the rest of the employees, you caught the eye of the director and is being
invited rather forcefully to have a drink. You didn’t want to but since it was a situation you can’t
easily say no to, you had no choice but to reach for the cup… all of a sudden, your direct superior,
the chief, took it instead and drank it for you.

Wanting to thank him for his gentlemanly feat, you went up to look for him a few moments later. He
was nowhere to be found. You walked around and went out of the venue and luckily found him just
near the exit.

You call out to him and expressed your thanks. But the serious chief who is usually polite had a curt
attitude and kept asking you to go back. Worried about this strange attitude coming from him, you
soon realize that his gait has become unsteady and his voice started sounding hoarse.

Your boss who drank the alcohol for you was actually an extremely lightweight drinker!

He gradually walked slower and slower and very soon, lost the ability to do it by himself. Feeling
responsible and worried about him, you volunteered to bring him to a nearby business hotel (even
though he told you not to) to take care of him in this intoxicated state.

As you try to put him to bed, his legs get tangled with yours and you end up hitting your head.

Shocked and feeling sorry, he embraces you sweetly in his arms and tries to make sure you didn’t
hurt yourself. But the chief didn’t stop there. He was dreaming. And you were a part of it.

It was a night he didn’t want to wake up from…and perhaps…the feeling was mutual?…

Konoe Tooru, 34 years old.

Born in the 14th of April, 183cm tall and weighs just about 74kg. His blood type is A. He’s a cat
person who likes to drink cafe latte (with lots of milk) while he dislikes anything bitter (matcha/
green tea, alcohol, etc.) and enjoys eating a delicious bowl of warm soba. While he likes relaxing in
his reading nook burying his nose in his favorite books, he is also a very active person who goes to
the gym two to three times a week and would often go trekking every other weekend. Shopping for
supplies surprisingly is an easy task for him and he also finds it quite fun.

Regarded as a prim and proper chief among his peers, he is quite respected and known as someone
who has lived his life without a particularly crazy history. Rumor has it that he is a strong candidate
to be promoted as a manager soon.

He usually dons a poker face at work so people tend to think he might be hard to approach as straitlace people often have the impression of being stiff and adhering strongly to proper decorum.

Nevertheless, once they get to know him well, they quickly warm up to his kind and bubbly persona.

Contrary to the straight-man vibe he has, he is actually quite an adorable man who has a face that is
rather easy to read. His innocent smiles earned him a lot of fans among the younger employees
(mostly female) and they anticipate moments that would often induce it (e.g. whenever he thanks
someone for something they have done for him, or when he’s happy about something).

According to some, a secret fan group is dedicated to this gap in his serious personality. (The heroine
is one of them)

Sadly, having his heart broken after a decade-long relationship, he found it difficult to be
romantically involved with someone again despite his unwavering popularity. Seeing his age and his
past experience as hurdles for romance, he politely turns down anyone who has tried to approach
him in this way and has resigned to a life of solitude.

Even so, he soon realized that he has developed strong yearning for a younger subordinate and has
been struggling to keep his feelings where it’s supposed to be. After a year and a half, he decided to
totally move on and give up his love when a handsome and younger subordinate asked to be paired
up with the apple of his eyes.
