  試行錯誤を繰り返しながら糸織り機を作るマーコとトーコと同じ顔の工場長の孫達。何とか完成し、糸を織り上げるも、先輩達との差を思い知らされ・・・
  っていやいや、自分らで創意工夫して作りあげるあたり、めちゃくちゃ凄いと思いますが・・・
  巻末には富岡製糸場の女工さんの話もあり、ちょっとタメになります。
