You find a fashionable café in the next town over. "Welcome!" The man who calls out to you is Yuuma, the soft-spoken owner/manager of the café. You fall in love with the taste of the coffee he pours for you, and you beg him to let you work at his café.

As a barista-in-training, Yuuma kindly shows you the ropes, and before you know it, you've fallen for him. He is kind and affable towards everyone, but you are curious about how he seems oddly distant with others, and how he occasionally looks intensely sorrowful.

One day after work, you're forced to return to the café after forgetting your apartment key, and you find Yuuma in pain. "Don't come near me!" He exclaims with an intensity you've never heard from him before. However, you can't leave him alone, and when you go to help him, it's clear that he's different from his usual self...
