Itako is a very expressive vocalist! She sounds like she’s smiling, and has a pretty good dynamics range! Her vocal range is not as impressive as others but should cover most of your bases!
She is a great choice for any beginner who wants to start in the deep end of the pool when it comes to CeVIO’s features. She can sing similar genres to Sasara and Tsudumi, but can sing notably faster than them before she drops pronunciations. Her reactions are exact, specific and predictable. Every vowel has a glottal until you use slur, for example. She has such good responses, if she is on sale and you’re a beginner who’s chosen any of the other libraries I’ve said are good because they don’t need you to immerse yourself in CeVIO’s workflow- maybe pick up Itako too! She’s a simple and fun vocalist to really get used to the features.
As of the 25th of July, her note attributes do not produce a pitch response as some others do. However, I don’t believe this is an issue with Itako, and will probably change with the next engine update.
For the current engine update, she reacts well to husky, and is by default pitch corrected. Allowing her pitch to be exaggerated with negative pitch slider is unstable but can give some great ideas for emotive expression!
