This story takes place in the early 20th century, at the end of the frontier era, as order begins to settle and the last of gangs are cleared up in the name of progress.

It's to one of these hot spots, Leaf Town, where only men live, that two women are dispatched.

Their names are Cecily and Amelia.

But the dwellers in town think of religion as a scam, and hardly lend an ear to her pleas.
She decides to first earn the goodwill of the people.
