強くならないと出られないダンジョンはレトロな2D見下ろし型のコマンド選択式ロールプレイングゲームです。異なる性能の四人のプレイヤーキャラクターから一人を選びレベルを上げてダンジョンのボスをすべて倒せばゲームクリアです。

初めに与えられたわずかな資金からアイテム、武器、防具、スキルを購入し選んだPCの準備を整えます。PCによって特徴や難易度が異なり、工夫してレベル2まで生き残る必要のあるPCや全編を通して簡単に攻略できるPCなどの違いがあります。僅かなヒント、ほとんどの情報がマスクデータという条件下で出来る限りを尽くしてマップのどこかにいるボスを全て倒す一人旅です。

PCを選んですぐに操作可能になり強○イベントもないので攻略に専念する事ができます。総プレイ時間はプレイ次第で変わりますが目安はPC一人につき7時間程度です。一日一時間プレイして一ヶ月程度で四人のPCを全てクリアできます。工夫すれば低レベルクリアや短時間クリアも可能です。短時間クリアの目安は難易度の低いPCで2時間程度です。
