When I have play to “Sound of drop – fall of poison” I found that it was too bad that there was not a “musical room” (or an OST) as some of the music are really enthralling. So, when I saw this product, it was an auto-buy.

To be honest, most of the tracks are not top of the art as they have been created to give a feeling, an atmosphere, to a scene without disturb the attention of the player from the scene. However, I found that the opening theme (short and long version, Shizuku no oto) and the main menu theme (Sound of drop) are really amazing so I am really happy of my purchase.The product is cheap and have a good price-quality ratio.

Moreover, the original vocal track of the OST (C*U) turn out to be very good too. My only claim will be that the 3 bonus tracks are instrumental versions of the vocal tracks. The claim is not about the quality of these tracks, this is more personal as I just do not like instrumental version in general.

Rosenkreuz Stilette (Stiletto of rosicrucianism) is an homage to Megam*n but include also other references like M*rio, C*stelv*nia, B*mber M*n or even T*uhou. The game can be divided in two parts. In the first one, you choose which one of the 8 stages you want to challenge and gain a new weapon when defeating the boss of the selected stage. The second one is more classic and is composed of multiple stages that you challenge in a linear order. I was pleasantly surprised by the lifespan of the game and the length of the second part, which allow you to fully enjoy the use of the weapons that you have get in the first part.

The art and design of the various stages are great, each of them having a strong feeling. My favorites are the stage of Schwer Muta (full of dumb traps) and the stage of the garden in the last boss fortress (full of reversible gravity). Bosses themselves are good, the first eight have their specific personality (cool girl, loyal warrior, introvert girl, dumb bird…) and those of the final stages are often original (I am fond of the two first bosses in Sepperin stage). The last boss is the type of character that I like, cutely evil.

About the game itself, without surprise, it is a platformer action game and falling often results in the lost of one live. Against the bosses, the main difficulty is to found the weapon which is the weak point of the boss. Thankfully, the “heal potions” that you found are not lost when you use a continue so you can create a stock by willingly dying in stages where you can easily get one of them. Without this trick, the game difficulty could be pretty high.

Lastly, the story is interesting with a twist introducing the last boss. Dialogues between the heroin and foes are well managed and do not disturb the action part. I highly recommend the game if you like platformer. Strangely, the sequel, Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel , has been produced under another circle name, just use the search tool to find it.

This is a collection of background illustrations which contain 2 modern building in ruin invaded by plants, 8 illustrations of awe-inspiring natural scenery with sometime a touch of fantasy, 4 scenery of modern city, 3 scenery with a huge medieval castle (or city) inside an impressive landscape, 1 underground library, 1 futuristic city lost in mountains and 1 lizard (yes, one lizard, this is not a mistake).

Quality of the illustrations is very good with a lot of variety (from modern city full of neon and concrete to pure, immaculate natural landscape). My only complaint is that there is only a PDF file which is not the optimal format to enjoy the illustrations (a png or jpeg file in addition of the pdf file will have been welcomed).

However, I you are interested in background illustrations you can give it a try. The product is of quality and cheap.

It is a classic ADV game with frequent choice to do. When choices appear in blue, it means that they influence the true end. When they appear in red, it means that a bad answer results in a bad end and a game over. There is a total of 4 True End and 27 Bad End (but some of them are almost identical). The horror is present but the game does not really try to scary the player and the mystery feeling is predominant (but sometimes there is blood). The location, an aquarium, is original and the events mainly involve aquatic animals with developed, distorted and/or amplified abilities transforming them in unnatural and deadly traps.

The story is interesting, the mysteries about the aquarium, Mari and the other visitors are slowly revealed and you never get bored. Even after finishing the game one time, the various ending are different enough to keep the player playing (and there is an additional sequence revealing some elements about two characters when you start again a new game). The characters are charismatic, with different personalities (and a very good design). There are no voices, but this is the only weak point of the game. The BGM is OK at the exception of the main title menu and main theme which are amazingly good.
