[Story]
Something not human, called "Ayakashi (Ghouls)" exist in this world.
They normally live in "YouKai (Ghoul's Realm)", but sometimes
come over the human's world in search of lifeforce of humans.

There are two measures to take lifeforce from people:
To assault people and forcibly deprive them of lifeforce,
and to make a pact with stronger ones that provide them with lifeforce.

The former Ayakashi is particularly referred as "Akuryou (Evil Ghosts)" with fear.
The latter Ayakashi is called "Shikigami (Familiar Spirits)" that fight for people.

Ones fight for protecting people with their Shikigami are called "Onmyouji (Taoist)".

A rookie Onmyouji, by the name of Rintarou Nagazetsu, has to get his own Shikigami,
partially because of his justice mind but more importantly, because he is aroused only by Ayakashi!
