Dreams of the Fallen Demon

[Story]
Your village was destroyed by war.
You were able to escape with your life and take shelter in an old temple.
A man named Haku takes care of your wounds and says you can stay there with him.

After all, you've got nowhere else to.
And when he whispers that to you, you notice a strange gleam in Haku's eyes.
Just like one of those ogres that lives in the woods and eats humans...

"That's right, I'm one of those frightening beasts that all humans fear..."

He has golden eyes, pointed nails, sharp fangs... and unusually, just one horn...

And that's because he loves humans and isn't allowed back in his own world.

You're two different species, but all you want is happiness...

Haku (CV: Masahiro Yamanaka)
Appears to be around 28.
He's an oni, but he loves humans. Disguising himself as one, he takes up residence
as the priest of the temple. He lost his horn in a territory dispute between ogres.
With his powers weakened, her used all his strength to flee. As he loves humans,
he's decided to use his remaining power for their sake.

Kai (CV: Naoto Kobayashi)
Appears to be around 28.
An oni from Haku's village. The two are essentially childhood friends.
All the oni trust him, and he works for the village leader.
For better or worse, he has a very oni-like personality.
