It was a rainy June.
A plague of serial murders by the one they call "Jack the Ripper" spread terror in Masato Naruse's town.
But just as mysteriously, the murders stopped.
The rain came again in October.
Masato had a terrible vision of a rabbit in his dreams.
That was the watershed moment, when the boundaries of reality and nightmare, past and present, bled together.
