Your boss, Zen Kanami, is a rising star in the company who has a reputation for being a cold and demonic boss. One day, he calls you to a conference room after hours... (<- overtime enforcement!?) And confesses his love to you...

You're totally blindsided, but Zen takes it a step further and proposes that you try dating him since you don't have anyone you're interested in at the moment.

On your first date you Netflix and chill... and then things immediately escalate because Zen can't wait a moment longer lol. He keeps calling you cute throughout too <3 I honestly lost count of how many times.

Also, it seems like the heroine/you are a rising star in your own right too, with many other admirers in the company. Zen gets jealous just thinking about his competition... And things get steamy again...!

The story goes that the protagonist, Arai, has been abandoned by his ex-wife (and unknown number of kids) after she cheated on him and got married to her affair partner, who is apparently some rich guy. In the resulting tormented state, he discovers that you, the heroine, are cheating on your own spouse... And decides to take his form of revenge by becoming your next affair partner(???)

This is the only work I've listened to in full for this series, but from the others' samples, it seems that Arai's been listening in on you and your previous flings... Truly the neighbor advantage.

The VA's acting was great and really brought out the bittersweet sense of encroaching despair, even while the characters deepen their relationship from neighbors to partners in NTR... The shifts in the protagonist's tone from affable mild-mannered neighbor -> suspicious yandere accusing you of cheating on your husband -> shocked guilt when he realizes your husband knows -> desperation when he begs you to leave your husband for him >>>

Last but not least;; the swing sound effect for the tokuten sounded like something straight out of a horror movie! But I really liked how the ending retains that bittersweet melodrama vibe and a temporary happy ending (at least until your husband comes home... For better or for worse </3)

As a free(!) work voiced by an industry veteran, this was a great gateaway into the otome CD genre as a whole.

As the summary suggests, the pairing this time is: Ordinary Human Coffee Shop Owner X Magical Girl Who Trusts Him With Her Identity! Crashing at the closing coffee shop after a tiring day of saving the world, our heroine is met by a love confession.

They consummate their feelings for each other (?) but when the heroine drops by again to break off their relationship (she's a career girlie devoted to her magical girl mission), the owner drugs her favorite cocoa and she wakes up chained up in his coffee shop basement... The owner claims that he's doing it to protect from the dangers the heroine's magical girl missions put her in, but it's not very convincing when he fantasizes about her being attacked by tentacles, her magical girl miniskirt and stick(!!) throughout the story (praise)... We love a faux(?) affably evil master.

You can't help but wonder exactly how long the coffee shop owner has been planning to lock our heroine up...
