A Truly Memorable Game

Jul/22/2014  By solaire Top Reviewer: 12th Verified Buyer

Loved it!

I felt compelled to write this review right after finishing this second Rosenkreuzstilette game as i was greatly impressed by the high level of care and polish that went in creating this game.
The gameplay structure of this sequel is the same as the one seen in the first game:action platform in the style of M*ga man, this of course includes the acquisition of a the power up after defeating the bosses that await at the end of each level and the possibility to play as an alternate character armed with sword and capable of wall jumps and dashes,if the right combination of buttons is pressed in the starting screen of the game.
The graphics are very well done, with gorgeous environments, cute chibi character\bosses and a good variety of enemies in each level.
The sound is excellent as well, the tracks of this game greatly add to the already impressive graphics of the levels giving each one a unique and immersive atmosphere, also the themes of the bosses do a great job in setting the mood for the epic battle that will unfold.
The game features two modes, arcade and story, the former being equal to the latter except for the fact it lacks the cutscene and dialogues through the which the game's story is narrated and all the levels feature an interesting gameplay twist, water currents,traps/enemies hidden behind walls, lasers, flammable liquid that is ignited on contact by certain enemies, ecc.
Final judgement:the awesome bosses, graphics and gameplay make this game one of the best M*ga man inspired games to be found in both eastern and western markets, also i want to to point out how this game surpasses by far the first installment,as any good sequel should,so,although i loved the first game as well and the reviews other users wrote about it are a testament to it's high level of quality, this one improves upon it immensely.
PS:i'm not from an English speaking country so my English may not be perfect.
