No Joke... one of the best games I have ever played!

Jan/26/2016   By Grihm Top Reviewer: Top500 Verified Buyer

Loved it!

I bought this game for obvious reasons, just getting that out of the way, however; literally after 20 mins to an hour, I started to forget this game was a hentai game and was more caring about the story and what was going to happen next with the Hero. I got so hooked that after I beat this game I was legitimately addicted and had to have the next installation and ended up scouring the internet to find the English patch for the 2nd and 3rd game, and yes I bought the 2nd and 3rd game here, no way in hell am I going jip the people who made this incredible game, the gameplay is simple and easy to get good at it, there are some fights that may end making you want to face palm yourself, trust me when I say this... this game will pull you in and make you care about the world and the characters. Now for some honest critiques and probably what may cause you to pick up or not, the Hentai is still frames with a few variations, most of the erotic stuff comes from the text telling you what is happening, so are there better H-games? yes. Is there an H-game that delivers an actual awesome storyline that sucks you into the world with a great sound track that makes you feel awesome at the right times? Hell No! So my final verdict is this... GET THE GAME!! if not for the modest hentai, then for it's awesome story... did I mention awesome story? Consider this review a review for all 3 installments.

Go for the sex, Stay for story

I have long since played this game when it was fully translated by our dear rogue, and boom! I love the game the moment i enter it.
The main premise is pretty much following a hero wannabe shota trying his best to save the world even though he is super weak.

Exploring the vast world and gaining hard earned skill along the way feels rewarding.

There are many interesting character especially our certain sly old fox, antagonistic god and bitchy snake lady.

The battle in part 1 feel well-balanced enough and fun to manage the "mana" to unleash the MC's skill.

The art work is however 10% hit and 90% miss, like honestly, the artwork almost constantly changing since there are many different artist on the board. Many ain't drawn attractive, and many are nightmare fuel. However, the main characters are pretty hot.

In overall, MGQ makes an adventurous story using a initially weak, shota boy explore throughout the world while protecting his chastity , and trying to make the world a better place. Full of monster girl, Full of femdom, Full adventure, await guys. Join us aboard in this trilogy that make itself even better with MGQ Paradox

Pricey but no better monstergirl game out there

I'm sure most people here have seen those translated Monstergirl Picturebook series by now. Well this is pretty much the game version of that. While the game is classified as an RPG, many battles are more like a puzzle; instead of spamming the attack command, the battles usually require you to use certain commands to win. It's not completely inflexible as you usually have multiple solutions early on, but later battles start requiring more specific actions to win.

Of course, losing is more than half the point of the game as our unfortunate (or maybe fortunate in some cases) hero gets raped if he loses. Heck, there's a battle option that essentially suicides so you can get the losing sex scene quickly. There's no overworld or exploration though, progress between battles is presented in graphic novel format. Again, it's only a RPG in spirit really.

There's a LOT of content here. The art is great and there's a sex scene with each monstergirl. There's also a story going on between that, with additional scenes that take place during the main story. There's only a few voices, but that's probably for the best here. Sex style is, well, monstergirls raping you; I'd say there's some occasional weirder fetish stuff, but that's kind of heavily implied from the start here. There's some vore involved, nothing too graphic but if you don't like it avoid this.

Overall this is a pricey game, but the amount of content is better than many commerical hgames these days. The gameplay isn't deep, but is interesting enough to break up the graphic novel sections at keep it fun. If you like monstergirls, suck up the price tag and support this guy!

A promising start of the trilogy.

Monster Girl Quest (Monmusu Quest!) is a wonderful deconstruction of many of the prevalent JRPG cliches while being an engaging JRPG/VN hybrid in its own right. It is a first part in an upcoming trilogy.
In this game we play the role of Luca - a naive village boy, who strives to be a Hero and beat a fearsome Monster Lord. While many people hate monsters and would rather see them exterminated, Luca's life dream is to see humans and monsters coexisting in peace.
At the beginning of the game, Luca is to be baptized as a Hero for his quest, but something goes wrong. Not dejected, Luca marches on his quest without his Goddess protection and is quickly saddled with a companion - a powerful monster named Alice.
Alice is the one and only heroine of the game and an awesome character. She claims to be a traveling gourmet in search of more and more interesting foreign cuisine and uses a 500 year old travel book as her guide! Alice at first treats Luca like dirt and will denounce his dream as delusional, but later she grows up to like and respect him. The chemistry between Luca and Alice is a driving force for the game.
Every monster in this game is a female. Losing a battle with any of them will end with Luca being r*ped. Now here is my biggest complaint about the game - there is a lot of H-scenes and that's good, but they are not all the same quality. Some scenes have an obvious CG sequence for a scene just as it should be, others - don't. I think that the author should have lowered the count of those scenes but increased the quality.
In essence, Monster Girl Quest is an introductory part of the trilogy I expect the other parts to be of even better quality due to this one selling well.
In the end I can heartily recommend Monster Girl Quest to everyone who likes monster girls, RPGs, their parodies and hilarious situations.

The opening crescendo of a masterpiece!

A beautiful start to one of the highest regarded titles on the market, MGQ has some of the market's top deliverance on story, character and plot advancement.
The ero scenes seem so sidelined when you're taken in by the world, and those around you. It's more about accomplishing victory and saving the day than it is losing and submitting to random foes (which you can do once you beat any monster regardless, so why rush?)
The highest-recommended series on the market, and with the gusto to back it up. Don't skip this series!

I liked the idea of how the hero wants to accomplish his goals. but starts of bad but gets really interesting and some music is pretty good. Game so far is nice, sexy, and has plot and story. what more can you want. Can't want for the last two to in the trilogy, looks to be very fun and see what the hero Luca will do in his adventures. also mostly sexy and cool looking monster girls designs and different styles of art for the girls makes this a pretty one to pick up

Best series in the genre

Seriously, buy this game. The meta humors alone is worth the money, let alone the hentai part.

To sum up the game and the trilogy as a whole, you start out as a young adventurer in a small village with a quest of slaying the 'big bad evil demon/monster lord'. Sound typical and straight forward, right? Well turn out that the monsters of this world are 'monstergirl', beings of half girl, half monster that prefer to fight using sexual arts than actual bloodshed.

The combat system are rather fluid and easy to handle, good soundtrack and translation (although there are mistranslated words here and there).

It will not disappoint you.

Outstanding!

Monmusu Quest is an ambitious game that tries to mix as many monster girls and fetishes with a story of considerable length and depth. It pulls it off quite well.

The combat system is basic but adequate, and to get the various CGs of each monster girl you have to see each of their attacks and lose to them before they'll rape you. Once you've seen all the scenes a monster has to offer, you can then get advice from the goddess and go back to beat them again, thanks to unlimited continues. The monsters use their attacks in a random fashion, so you might have to save/load or continue for quite a while before you're done. This is one thing that I didn't like.

The characters themselves are very likable. Luca is a naive but honest boy who sees the good in everything, in contrast to Alice's skeptical and sarcastic demeanor. The chemistry between the both of them is great and sometimes hilarious to watch.

If you have even the slightest interest in monster girls, do yourself a favour and pick this up. Hopefully the developers have plans to translate the other two games in the trilogy too.

We both know why your here. You have grown rather bored with the qualities of the average female. You want something a little more...exotic. Something different. Something that is so far entrentched in fantasy that you can never truely believe that it actually exists. I give you...Monster Girls.

I won't tell you about the plot. Instead I will tell you that the storyline has been one of the most, if not the best thing I've ever seen out of a hentai game in a long time. The Demon Lord herself even starts to grow on you after a while, she's like the tsundere you've dreamed of, but sadly no one ever got her right.

The artwork meanwhile is phenominal. The difference in art styles between the artists certainly gives this work a lot of soul. Sure there are a few of them that are a little...off. But the majority outshines the minority.

Just be careful of the few prey scenes at the end of certain encounters. Those get a little freaky.
