Beware the Merchant Girl in the Woods

A hero and his companion couldn't find an inn at the town.
They had no choice but to travel on.
In the nearby woods full of monsters they set up camp.
There was no sleeping tonight.
A crackle from nearby, was it a monster? The hero gripped his sword.
As the sound came closer a shape appeared, and the firelight
illuminated her face.
She was a young girl, a traveling merchant.
"I saw your fire. May I camp with you?"
She explained she'd tried to find an inn at the town as well.
They welcomed her to the party and, knowing she was watching out
for him, the hero was able to arrive at sleep.

But the night was only beginning.
He awoke to a call in the night. His companion was still asleep.
But he heard a rustling.

It was the merchant girl...
