Cheaters never prosper...you can take that stance in this game, but you'll probably lose.
A must for fans of Gr*nbl** F*nt*sy, a well-thought-out poker game that requires you to cheat to win.
In order to win in this game, you have to utilise your cheating skills to alter the cards in your hand to others more beneficial to you. You have access to abilities like:
"Rage"
Increases the rank of the chosen card by one (keeping the suit). King of Hearts becomes Ace of Hearts, Ace becomes 2, etc.
"Miserable Mist"
Decreases the rank of the chosen card by one (keeping the suit).
"Change"
Changes one of your cards for a Joker.
Among other useful skills, including seeing your opponent's hand!
Each of the five girls have their own unique cheats to help them win, too: Danua attacks your hand, forcing you to discard; Lilly can freeze your hand or your cheats for a turn; Charlotta punishes your cheats by doubling cooldown/cost.
Overall, it's just fun to play, and the moments of frustration when a good hand is ruined can be quickly melted by moments of great fortune.
The art is pretty, too. Each of the girls personalities and charm points are captured well, although there aren't many different body types as 4 out of 5 girls are fairly small...but I happen to prefer flat anyway, Flat is Justice!

If I had to give a couple of negative points:
There is no failure state. You can keep on losing all of your money and nothing happens, other than you restart with 10,000medals. Your opponent doesn't even reclaim any clothes for your loss.
Cagliostro is too easy. For a character who's theme is changing her cards to improve her hand, she doesn't aim very high - it's relatively easy to get "Five of a Kind" in this game, but she seems to settle for "Full House". In my experience, she also never uses her Ougi, which changes her hand to five Ace of Spades.

Overall, a really fun game, and one I enjoy returning to just for the gameplay.
I will be looking forward to more from Banshee Software!
