「がんばれよハチ、飼い主だっておまえが伊勢のお札を持って帰るのを楽しみにしてるって」――ケガをした飼い主のために、江戸からはるばるお札をもらいにお伊勢様へと旅立った忠犬ハチ。時は江戸時代。お伊勢参りは庶民に大流行りで、そういう犬を「参宮犬」と呼んで、人々は大事にしたものです。しかし勇んで旅立ったハチでしたが、野犬の群れにまぎれたり、仇討ちきょうだいと道連れになったり道中は思わぬアクシデントだらけ。人々に助けられたり助けたりしながら、なんとか伊勢にたどり着き、ようやくお札を手に入れたと思ったら、またしても事件に巻きこまれ…。参宮犬ハチの痛快人情すがり旅完結編です!
