Product summary
古代インドのマガダ国の王子に生まれたアジャセ王（アジャータシャトル）の生涯を描く。初めは提婆達多（デーヴァダッタ）と結託し、仏教徒の父を死に至らしめるような罪深い人間であったが、のちに世尊（釈迦）がアジャセ王を救うためにいったん涅槃に入ることを控えたとの言葉を聞き、自分のような極悪非道の人間でも救われることを知る。その喜びから、今度は自分と同じように苦しんでいるものを救うために活躍することを誓い、敬虔な仏教徒となったという。「仏法流布の勇者たち」全5巻シリーズの第1巻を電子書籍として復刊。
