『玉藻の前』をご存知だろうか？
平安末期に鳥羽上皇に仕えたとされる、絶世の美女に化けた伝説上の白い九尾狐の名である。
玉藻の前の亡骸は巨大な毒石「殺生石」となり、やがて玄翁和尚によって破壊され、殺生石は四方に飛び散った。
飛散した殺生石の伝説は、今も日本各地に伝承されている。
これは、その「玉藻の前伝説」を元に、狐の化身と陰陽師の戦い、
そして悲しい愛の物語を描いた、エンターテインメント伝奇絵巻。
