Pick Up

Very nice shooter

This game definitely channels the spirit of the older 16-bit games. The graphics aren't the absolute best, but they are very nice and have a 16-bit spirit to them. There is also a nice level of parallax scrolling throughout the game. There is a system where you earn multiple weapons and can switch between them, almost like a slower-paced Thunder Force game. There are multiple difficulty settings and I think even people who are pretty good at shooters will find some challenge at the higher settings. Overall worth a purchase.
