Pick Up !Rouza Musou a fun little game

So, first thing.... Nothing sexy about this game, unless the outfits the characters wear do it for you. This is all about good ol' fashioned violence and making things explode in a burst of blood and squishy noises (or bleats...).

I played through the free demo of this game from the author's site, and it was good enough to convince me to sign up and buy the full version. It's a really enjoyable little game, with the ranking systems providing a bit of replayability. The download's inclusion of the MIDI and MP3 files used in the game was a nice little bonus.

If you have no particular fondness for the series the game is based on, then there's a lot of generic Flash games out there you could play that substitute load-screen advertising for cost. But for fans, it's a nice (and cute) little homage to a memorable scene. (And loads right away instead of making you sit through an ad like said advertising-based games.)

Conclusion: Play the demo, decide if twice as much gameplay and several more bosses is worth it. It's nothing fancy but what do you want for the cost equivalent of two small plastic toys from a vending machine? A better value than a lot of things at the same price.
