About User Authorization
Operating Environment and System Requirements
Following operating environment is required to download and view items which require a user authorization.

Necessary Software
To view a product that requires user authentication, you need to install special software according to its category.
To install the software, choose one of the following methods. When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install the software.
Package Installation
You can download and install in a single package all the necessary software to view products that require user authentication.

Personalized Installation
After you extract the product file, please find an html file ending with "_readme.html".
The necessary software for the purchased products and other important information is indicated in this file.
When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install the software.

Authorization and Viewing
Authentication is required only the first time you view a product. (When you double-click the product file, the following window will appear.)
If you choose to save your login ID and password, they will no longer be requested when you view the product.

For Guests
If you purchase a product which requires user authentication as a guest, the file(s) may no longer be viewable if you perform the following:
- Change/replace your operating system.
- Reformat the hard disk drive on which Windows is installed.
- Change/Replace your hard disk.
If such is the case, if you wish to view the product again you will need to repurchase it.
Note
The items which require user authorization has following limitations to prevent unauthorized copies.
- It is viewable only on the PC onto which you originally downloaded the file(s)
- Capture and print functions of images are disabled. (Although printing or capturing images may be possible with a demo version, you cannot use these functions with the purchased version.)
- You cannot view the products via Remote Desktop or virtual operating environments such as Virtual PC.
Operation When Using Anti-Virus Software
Sometimes, anti-virus software such as avast! or Norton Internet Security may falsely recognize the software as a virus and prevent you from downloading or browsing the file(s). If this is the case, please try downloading or browsing the file(s) with your anti-virus software temporarily turned off, or manually set allowances for the software.
Especially when you are using free anti-virus software such as avast!, AVG, ANTIVIR and COMODO, please confirm the normal operation of the software prior to making a purchase.
If unsuccessful
Error: Failed to open the file
If you get a message such as "Specified file is invalid or file is corrupted.", the necessary software is not installed correctly or it is not associated with the file extension of the product.
If you get this kind of error, please right-click on the file (i.e. XXX.cpd or XXX.dlst) and choose "Open with", then select the name of the necessary software that apply.
If you do not find the name of the corresponding software, you may have installed the software correctly.
Please check [ Necessary Software ] and try installing again.
In the case of CypherGuard for PDF, CypherGuard for Movie (Cypher Player) and DLsite Viewer, icons will be created on your desktop when successful.
Error: The user ID or password is incorrect / Could not confirm the purchase of the license
