Pickup!Elementa-fuda?

Gob de Carnival is a take on Hanafuda using a system of elements for the hierarchy of cards rather than flowers and animals. The game, however, is virtually the same. You play against a choice between four girls from the RPG series' eleventh installment, and meet them in a dungeon where the game takes place.

The element system progresses from colorless crystals, to elemental crystals, to elemental creatures, to pallid elves who represent the elements, to adventurers. There are also two creatures embodying light and darkness who serve no purpose but to add multipliers to your score if you win. If you've never played Koi Koi, the idea here is to gather combinations of cards which are worth points. When you have at least one, you can "Attack" the other player with your score; in this case, it damages her clothes and strips them from her if the article of clothing breaks. The other option is to declare koi koi, which means you are holding out for more cards to add to your collection for more points; in this game, the option is called "Save", and it increases a gauge called "TP" by up to 300%, which also has a bearing upon your score. If you manage to strip the girl enough, it leads to a lengthy sex scene with her.

The game itself is easy to learn, but very hard to win. The girls often get very good hands, and while you have to destroy at least five articles of clothing from them, you only get one protecting you from game over. As to the artwork, it's not bad, but it could be better. The main draw of the game, besides the hentai, is the fantasy adaptation of a classic game which has been given a rather enjoyable face-lift. As such, if you like the RPG series this game is based on and happen to also like hentai hanafuda games, definitely look at this.

Pickup!Hentai Card Battle!

It is what it says, a card game with FF11 Characters to play against.

The play is similar to Hanafuda, theres a few twists, but nothing that isnt difficult to figure out. As you play, certain cards and combinations deal "Damage" to your opponents items of clothing (you get "money" for this as well). Enough damage, the clothing falls off. Make the clothes fall off enough, you get a hentai scene with that character.

The game also has a "free" mode where you can buy CG. The main problems of this game are a) that you lose if you lose 1 clothing item, you have to destroy several of the opponents to win and b) the CGs in the "free mode" are all so expensive it requires several run thrus of the game to purchase them all.

The pros far outnumber the cons though. This is definitely worth a pick up.

Pickup!An entertaining card game

As the description says, this is a customized hanafuda card game with 4 generic FF11 characters to play against.

Art: Amateurish, but not bad. They tried for a somewhat more 'realistic' style here. It's not bad, but it could've be better.

Gameplay: If you're played hanafuda before, it's the same deal here. The main difference is all cards have an 'element' to them. When you score, you do damage to the opponent's clothing based on these elements. You also get money based on your points which you need to unlock CG. When you do enough damage, the clothes are stripped. You win when you do this 5 times, while the computer only has to do this once to you. After winning, you get a sex scene and have the option to get that character's CG in the shop (more on this later). While heavily luck based, you still have enough control over the game to influence wins and losses. The AI is decent, and generally makes good plays. A quick and entertaining game overall.

Extras: As said earlier, you get money during the game which you need to unlock the CG in the gallery. You also get a 'paper-doll' mode where you can customize the girls state of undress. The big problem here is that the CG are all very expensive. You'd have to play through the game at least 20 times to buy everything. At most you'll probably unlock the paper doll parts, your favorite character's CG, and then probably get tired of it.

Overall: It's a quick and fun card game. The art isn't the greatest, but it's passable. You'll certainly get at least a few hours of entertainment out of it; I'd say it's worth the money if you like card games.
