Castle of Succubus is a hentai game that captures the look and feel of the NES Castlevania’s and does a good job at it. Graphics wise it is retro 8-bit graphics which is good if you like old school graphics. The music and sound of the game is good so there’s no need to play the game with the sound muted. The hentai of the game mostly comes in the form of h-cg’s that you get from saving the girls or choosing not to save them, and getting game over’s. There is pixel/sprite sex but only the girls that need rescuing feature them and they are featured only in game, not the hentai gallery mode. Speaking of rescuing the ladies some of them require you to find a hidden key in order to be able to gain access to them so be on the look out. The difficulty of the game is nice but gets quite difficult in stage #2, #5 and #6 so be prepared to potentially die a lot on those stages. The game does have replayability since the game has two endings based on whether or not you saved all the females and four of the h-cg’s has to be obtained by meeting special requirements such as saving all female npc’s, finding all hidden crowns, beat the game without getting a gameover and beat the game as fast as you can. The game while nice has a few flaws like not having full screen mode or the ability to pause the game. In closing if you don’t mind NES Castlevania difficulty, enjoy retro graphics and don’t mind the hentai being mostly h-cg’s then buy the game. Lastly the game uses a password system to save progress and Simone Belmont has control over her jumps and the creators has posted on their website a cheat to unlock all the cg’s for those that want to unlock everything from the start.

This title recreates the classic gameplay of C*stlevania, and even has some stylistic nods to it (especially C*stlevania 3, recreating the game start intro from that game). This is actually a fairly good Vania clone, although the physics are a bit different. They even created something stylistically similar to the Password system of C*stlevania 3. It's solid enough as a remake of the original that it seems like they added pornographic elements to justify the remix version rather than doing the remix to justify the porn.

The pornography is alright. Not spectacular, but worthwhile. It does store images in a gallery. There are many collectables. Keep in mind the HELP! doors aren't glitched. You need to have a key (it doesn't occupy your subweapon slot), and you need to whip the door to use the key. Then you can enter.

"Easy" mode is subtle. It doesn't make the enemies easier, but does take away the C*stlevania knockback. The game doesn't punish you significantly for continuing, and difficulty doesn't affect your ability to see everything. You'll still be challenged. Although there are some faults in the game, overall it is excellent, and well worth the price tag.

Say goodbye to Simon and hello to Simone! This bikini clad babe jumps and whips her way through all sorts of monsters and traps. Along the way she helps the random ladies in distress (usually from a monster or two having their way with them) and unlocks a still to view in the gallery. Even being killed can pay off with stills of Simone being stripped or violated. Secret items to find, tough bosses, stages that require timing and luck. All sorts of hidden items to find and so much to unlock. This will be hours of play. Easy mode doesn't make every stage a breeze, but it is there if you need it. Give the trial version a play. If you like it, go ahead and get the game.
