I liked all the preview art on Nyugyou's website leading up to Fantasion's release- imagine my disappointment when those pictures were exactly the rewards for beating stages of this game! There were some hot character designs here, but having just one CG for each (that's viewable in a separate folder for the game anyways) is a waste.

The controls are fine, but movement feels iffy. Fighting is loose and feels samey for most enemies. The final stage is a pain and it often feels like you'll just get hit no matter what you do. The voice samples also start to grate pretty quickly.

I hate to be so hard on one of my favorite circles here, but I really do hope the fancy with creating a game has passed and we can see more of those incredible CG sets make a comeback.
