If you enjoy Vore, then this game is for you.

While Xi's newer games like Viocide offer somewhat improved graphics and animations, VRPG2 offers more of a story and feeling of actually accomplishing something.

RPG players should feel right at home, despite the lack of translation, and its simplicity allows even casual RPG'ers to enjoy this game without undue fuss.

The new support character system adds a nice bonus, though the suicidal nature of said characters does subract from this a bit. It is quite hillarious to see them get eaten again and again while you try and fight many enemies.

All in all, a bit spendy for the return, but still a fun and amusing game.

Well what can I say about this title. Well to vore fans, this is a dream come true. When you lose, you get eaten, just like the description says. you get to hear her muffled cries as you attempt to escape, which as the monsters gets stronger, it gets harder to escape.

This time around there is a story of somesort going on here. I say some sort because I cant read japanese, but once you beat the first boss which pretty challenging, I might add; you actually have to use some sort of stradegy ad leveling up before you take it on. When you beat the first boss, you found out that villagers have been kidnapped by the monsters and you have to rescue them. The first girl you rescue happens to be your party member's sister, after which you can choose her or her sister, each has a different skill which can be used by pressing both z+x.

The only thing I can realy complain about is that I can read anything because they didnt translate the text, which leaves everything up to guess work. Also you have two types of attacks physical and magic, which can be activated by holding z or x.

Buteven if yo u can read anything, I still recommend this game to and vore fan out there.

VARPG 2 is an excellent improvement over the last VARPG. It appears that some of the criticisms of the previous title have been worked on, which means the developers pay attention. Notable good improvements are special boss encounters, usually featuring a much tougher version of the regular mobs with their own cinematics, a more complex item and upgrade system, you now travel with one of two possible partners who are also capable of being eaten. And generally the monsters are a lot more diverse in nature, with many more cinematics to deal with each one.

The game isn't perfect though. If you didn't like the formula of the previous game then it's pretty much the same hack and slash element...with rendered cinematics showing your characters demise when their health falls to zero. Some of the cinematics feature collision detection errors which are difficult to ignore. And despite your partner being eaten all the time, the only cinematics are for your own character.

Huge kudos to the voice actresses in this title. They definitely give (from a non-Japanese speaker's perspective) a greater sense of terror and fear than the previous game. And generally the audio is very good at setting each scene at it evolves.

Also interesting, is that the vore cinematics in this game feature a lot more tentacle's than in the previous. This usually features your character being held in place and penetrated (though censored), while in the creatures stomach. It's a very nice addition and doesn't feel too overused, and doesn't break the theme. My advice is, if you enjoy vore, buy this game! Don't miss this one.
