Smell the cheese, enjoy the show

Every big studio has to start somewhere. As of 2018, Circle Zero-One has an impressive line-up of releases. From this position, it's interesting to look back at "Digital Baby 2008" and compare how the team did things then to how their output looks today.

If there's a theme to this set, it might just be "corny love scene from TV movie", and I don't say that as a negative - it's a look, and they've kind of nailed it, with the absurdly idyllic location and supposedly romantic plinky piano music.

The set is a blend of still images and animated loops, and while the character models are decent, the animation is somewhat hit-and-miss - sometimes it flows smoothly, but portrays stiff looking movements, other times half of the loop with be smooth and the other half jerky.

Still, pretty good for a piece from ten years ago.

Also the high-speed pounding right at the end is kind of hilarious when compared to everything that went before.
