Pick Up !A good start.

Although it has aged since it was first released, Mephistos first title is still a good buy, especially if you happen to like their later work. Kunoichi Ninpocho features a rather unique battle system. If your health drops to 0, the protagonist Kamikaze will be raped and lose some stamina before rejoining the fight. If her stamina hits 0, its game over.

Although Kamikaze is initially alone, she's quickly joined by two teammates, Katana and Saya. Although these two don't have their own health bars (and thus won't get raped) they gain attack points alongside Kamikaze and have their own arsenal of useful abilities, both offensive and support, to keep Kamikaze in the game.

The dungeons are creatively designed, with enemies running around visibly. The contents of chests are randomized, so its never quite the same game twice. Kamikaze also needs to keep herself fed and hydrated as she travels. Money can be found just lying around to be spent at a wandering merchant that shows up in each stage, but frustratingly he disappears once you're done shopping.

A major flaw of the game is a lack of save points. You can only save at fixed points between stages, and only once. Dying mercilessly throws you back to your last save, and this can be disastrously frustrating when the only reason you died was a run of bad hands. In addition, water doesn't seem to show up often enough, so its very easy to die of thirst if you dawdle too long.

The artwork is somewhat low quality, but sure to impress in terms of quantity. There are over 100 variations of Kamikaze being raped, with a different one selected randomly each time, so the odds of seeing the same CG twice are rather low. A small handful of cosplay/fetish outfits found in boxes will somehow force their way onto Kamikaze the next time shes raped after you pick them up for variant scenes.

All in all, while its not up to the standards of Mephistos later games, Kunoichi Ninpocho is well worth your 10 bucks.
