Grrrr....

The difficulty curve on this game can be brutal, and one of its major drawbacks is that it's not a matter of skill, but of repeating easier levels to gain experience, HP, and power. The CGs are incorporated pretty well, each level designed as the means to uncover the next one in the sequence, but the aforementioned repeating of levels, with no change in CG depending on how well you do or how you win, detracts from this.

Overall, this isn't a game for someone looking to just breeze through, or looking for massive amounts of hentai CGs of the three girls. It's for people who want a challenge in a kind of "Pong from Hell" sort of way. The bosses toss minions at you and gain attacks the higher the stage you're in, orbs can fall at random that can damage, heal, or slow you, and the more of the area you uncover, the less room you have to avoid the boss.

So if you want a challenging game that happens to have hentai scenes as the reward, go for it.

Pick Up !A different take on an old puzzle game

It's not clear at all from the description what kind of game this is; but it's one of those games where you try and cut pieces of a picture while avoiding the big enemy in the centre. The twist here is that the big enemy will use various attacks to make things harder, such as dropping projectiles and releasing additional enemies. To give you a slight break here, you have a health bar that increases as you 'gain levels' (you gain experience based on your scores) so you can (usually) take a few hits at least. Clearing a certain % of the picture unlocks the next stage, and there are 9 in all. Unfortunately, the difficulty of the later levels is so high that you will need to grind levels to become strong enough to survive. Level grinding, in a puzzle game. What will the Japanese come up with next?

Anyhow, clearing a stage give you a voiced sex scene. There are 3 for each of the FF7 characters. Quality is decent, but the Yuffie scenes suck (there's some scat, so be warned). However, clearing a stage the normal way does not unlock the CG. You have to kill the boss by trapping enough of the smaller enemies. Doing so gives you some bonus item as well. You can replay any stage you've beaten as much as you want.

Overall, it's a fun game hurt by artificial replay value (pointless grinding) and varying quality on the CG. There's no demo unfortunately. Get it if you like the sound of the game itself (it's under $10), not for the FF7 CG.
