"Love Maintenance 3" is a prequel to "Love Maintenance 1".

The story sets the stage for Tom and Ena's eventual meetup and future together. Incredible artistic work from Kumagaya Shin - high quality animation and in English!

This story focuses on 'Big Tom' Kumatora, a middle-aged bear and owner of "Kumatora's Aviation Repair". Tom is a workaholic who finds little time to enjoy meeting people for dating. He skirts the question of marriage and kids when confronted by his closest friend 'Gen' (who appears to need Tom often to fix things that are broken down or in need for a handyman). Tom is a professional who has the gift of repairing almost anything - from an car engine to a old TV set. Tom was taken back by Gen's suggestion that 'He needs to stop goofing off and find a nice wife'. You can sense Tom's frustration by being lonely and not finding someone (either Tom felt no one would like him with 'feelings like that' because he's too chubby or that he is actually attracted to men but by being gay it kept him marginalized by staying private when it came to intimacy).

I can relate to Tom in my own life, because I was there. He's a very smart, laid back yet sensible bear, but very private. You sensed Tom's sexual frustration while 'Jerking off' alone, pleading 'What I really want is a partner' 'I really just want somebody to love'. That just broke my heart as I strongly felt Tom's pain. Tom eventually met his friend 'Yuki' while walking. Tom doesn't stay long yet Yuki sensed Tom was lonely, leading up to Yuki meeting Ena, then arranged both to meet Tom at his shop. The end was special as Yuki got Ena together with Tom, thus start of their relationship. I can relate to Tom as I'm a middle-aged bear that recently found his true sexuality and purpose in life. Being a gay bear in his 40's is not so bad, once you meet a cub like 'Ena'.

To the author, PLEASE CONTINUE THIS COMIC SERIES!!! I will pay for each new release. Please email me www.goriajk@yahoo.com.
