This game presents an interesting concept: scrolling shooter-type action with lesbian H-scenes. Purple Heart manages to pull this off with style, but the experience is rather short-lived.

Girl's Air Force takes place in a military/sci-fi setting, where there is a war going on between two sides. Taking control of Alice, you make your way through the game, destroying the enemies to gain money to upgrade or buy new weapons, armor and special weapons. Along the way, Alice will capture some of the enemy commanders, and the interrogation scenes make up the bulk of the sex scenes in the game.

The shooting part of the game is well executed. Instead of remaining stuck at the bottom of the screen and shooting upwards as in traditional shooters, Alice can move all around the battlefield and shoot in any direction. So you can move up to the top of the screen to shoot downwards at enemies coming from behind you, or shoot to the left or right and even diagonally. You have weapons like a machine gun, lasers and a spread shot, and a powerful homing laser which you can fire after locking on to enemies. The graphics and characters look great, and the game runs smoothly at 60fps, even with lots of action on the screen.

While I enjoyed this game, I couldn't help but feel that I was playing an extended demo for an even greater product. With only 4 stages, short H-scenes (with just a single picture for each), a very small cast of characters and the inability to adjust the difficulty level, the game does feel very short. Seasoned STG players will probably be able to complete this within a day or two, and once you finish it there's not much incentive to continue playing except to earn money to unlock more artwork and to fully upgrade Alice's arsenal.

As it stands, Girl's Air Force is an impressive looking product and you can get a lot of fun when you consider the price of this game. I just wished the fun could have lasted a bit longer though.
