At first glance it seems like yet another h dungeon crawler, but this one does a lot of things right to keep you interested. Everything in the dungeon is out to molest you, but your arousal (lewdness) is a resource to allow for many of your skills. It's double-edged though, and excessive amounts of it will drop your defence and cause you to skip turns. There's a number of stances you can take in battle that alter stats and enable certain skills when purchased. For instance your offensive stance greatly ups damage, allows an extra attack, and allows counter attacks; but also greatly lowers your defence. Get hit by a multi-hit attack while in it and your HP is going to get chunked.

Your clothes provide bonuses (which need to be unlocked) and can be destroyed. Once they're destroyed you lose defence and access to stances, but can be instantly repaired with a fixed supply of healing kits. These kits are renewed at healing points, but you can only carry so many so you'll have to manage them carefully.

The art is nice, and there's a good variety of enemies (lots of tentacles though) and traps. The encounters are random, but you can raise or lower the rate at any time if you feel it's getting too annoying or want to grind. It's of reasonable length for the cost and has a decent depth and challenge to the gameplay. And of course it's natively translated in English. While there's no story at all, I highly recommend it if you like dungeon crawlers.

At its core, this is a stealth game. You can fight the enemies, but by the third dungeon it's very unlikely you will win (at least on normal difficulty) without using costly attack items or special skills with a very limited TP pool. There's clothing damage (not based on HP, which is always a plus), battle rape, and seduction attack scenes (which require skill points to learn). Losing in battle results in you getting captured and most of your items being confiscated, losing too many times in the 3rd and 4th dungeons will eventually lead to a game over. There's a CG room and the ability to test battle any regular enemies.

Overall it's pretty good for the cost. It's not overly long (took around 2 hours), but the translation is a big plus (it's not story heavy, but it's always nice to easily see what your equipment and skills do), the CG is good, and gameplay is just challenging enough to keep it interesting until the end. If you like busty maids and stealth style games go for it.

I didn't fully get the storyline here, but essentially it's a D*ssidia theme. Except instead of heroes and villains it's a bunch of females protagonists vs the men. The most notable thing about the game is the battle graphics, which have nice high resolution sprites. Enemies have h attacks which are all animated. The actual battle system is your completely standard RPGmaker affair. The playable characters (there's 5 total) all have typical RPGmaker skills, and there's a few summons that involve other characters; though these aren't animated and are just a cut-in. Battles are random, which is of course FF tradition, but have a high encounter rate and can get tedious quickly.

There's a decentish game length by hgame standards (at least 4 or so hours), with a number of areas from various FF games and bosses. Difficulty isn't that high, there was maybe 1 or 2 sections with a difficultly spike. There are numerous CG event scenes throughout the game, and after finishing it you get a gallery mode with all the events and in-battle animations viewable.

If you want an amazing hRPG, this isn't it. If you want an okay hRPG with nice looking sprites and CG of various FF heroines, this will do.

This a certainly a more original attempt at an hrpg. The game has a central hub town, and then it's off to the dungeon that takes place on a board-game style map. It has strong roguelike elements as the game is clearly out to screw with you; money and item tiles can make you LOSE lots of money or be trapped, and if you die you lose all your stuff and have to start over (you can thankfully keep your level and main equipment depending on the option at death). Battles are standard turn-based RPG stuff, with Krillin from DB as the protagonist. He learns all the skills you'd expect him to from the show. You can also get a female party member to come with you. There's a whole bunch of them from various other anime, and they range from useless to nearly as strong as Krillin. There are bosses and a proper ending to it. It feels a little grindy at times, but it's ultimately pretty fun.

Unlike most hrpgs, where the game kind of lets down is actually the erotic content. There isn't much and it's really spread out. You get one scene for each of the recruitable girls when you find them, and another depending on who you choose for the ending. Beyond that there are brothel tiles spread thoughout the game where you play an odd sex-minigame. Unlike the main girls, these brothel characters are generic characters. You don't play the sex-minigame with the parody characters. You can get them pregnant but it doesn't appear to have any bearing on the story.

As a final word note, it's recommended you read Japanese for this one. The game is hard enough without knowing what the various items and options do. If you do, I'd give it a shot. It's fun and something different from all those generic hrpgs.

Mephisto's 5th game, he's taken a break from the KN cast and given Miko her own game and cast. While there are many familiar elements from the previous games, there are general improvements throughout. The biggest improvement is the removal of the annoying random card based gameplay and instead a more standard turn based RPG system is in place. There are some interesting elements to set it apart though, as your characters have a limited number of attacks. Run out and you can still attack, but at the cost of health. It's a good system to prevent you from simply making one uber character, and requiring all four party members to pull their weight. The second biggest improvement is the changing of the annoying food/drink system. Instead of a constant annoyance, it is now a clever leveling system; your characters do not earn XP, instead at the end of missions you can have them eat. There's a limit to how much they can eat, and harder to make food offers higher stat gains.

Speaking of party members, there's a decent number of characters to choose from, each with their own skills to level. Not just combat skills this time around, but most characters have various passive bonuses. Skill points are shared, so you'll have to think carefully who and what you want to level. The levels this time all take place on a board-game style map. Different tiles give items, enemies, objectives, and other such bonuses. There are also repeatable standard RPG style maps you can visit if you need to farm better equipment.

The game is fun, different enough from standard RPGs, while still taking some of great elements from the KN games (clothing destruction in battle, enemies harassing and molesting the characters, etc.). There are a lot of levels, a large number of playable characters, and a plot and humour throughout the game. All in all, this is easily one of the best HRPGs this year, and this is the end of the year now.

I'm sure most people here have seen those translated Monstergirl Picturebook series by now. Well this is pretty much the game version of that. While the game is classified as an RPG, many battles are more like a puzzle; instead of spamming the attack command, the battles usually require you to use certain commands to win. It's not completely inflexible as you usually have multiple solutions early on, but later battles start requiring more specific actions to win.

Of course, losing is more than half the point of the game as our unfortunate (or maybe fortunate in some cases) hero gets raped if he loses. Heck, there's a battle option that essentially suicides so you can get the losing sex scene quickly. There's no overworld or exploration though, progress between battles is presented in graphic novel format. Again, it's only a RPG in spirit really.

There's a LOT of content here. The art is great and there's a sex scene with each monstergirl. There's also a story going on between that, with additional scenes that take place during the main story. There's only a few voices, but that's probably for the best here. Sex style is, well, monstergirls raping you; I'd say there's some occasional weirder fetish stuff, but that's kind of heavily implied from the start here. There's some vore involved, nothing too graphic but if you don't like it avoid this.

Overall this is a pricey game, but the amount of content is better than many commerical hgames these days. The gameplay isn't deep, but is interesting enough to break up the graphic novel sections at keep it fun. If you like monstergirls, suck up the price tag and support this guy!

Normally I'd start by explaining the gameplay, but I don't think anyone made it out of childhood without playing this game at least once.

What we do have here is an absolute tonne of content for such a simple game. Unlike a lot of image sets that exaggerate the amount content, there really is over 200 characters to choose from here. There's a variety from anime, games, originals, and even a few joke characters thrown in. The art is good quality, and there's a little bit of animation on many of the characters (giggling breasts, blinking, changing facial expressions, etc.). Unlike a lot of hentai RPS games I've seen, this one avoids any sort of frustration factor by making the player one of the girls (your choice); thus even if you lose, you still get to see one of the girls strip. The number of clothing pieces is pretty variable from character to character, some having as few as 4-5, others having over 10.

There's no sex or anything hardcore, but full nudity on the majority of the characters (all get naked, but a few are posed such that you don't get to see 'everything'). After winning or losing, you can go back and see every stage of undressing again. All in all, it's quick fun, easy to play and pretty much guarenteed there will be characters from at least a few series you really like, and everything has been translated to make it easier to find characters. At less than $10, it's hard to go wrong here.

The gameplay is excellent for a doujin game. Better than some commercial fighters I've seen. It's not just a parody of the real SSFIV in name, it actually includes a lot of mechanics from that game including focus attacks, EX attacks, fall recovery, and Ultras. And the controls all work smoothly for all these mechanics. There's a pretty large character roster, with familiar move sets such that everyone should find a character or two that matches their style.

As for game modes, there's just Story mode, VS and Practice. VS doesn't even seem to allow for VS COM, so have to play Story mode for single player. The only real complaint I have for gameplay is the difficulty. The default AI is pretty dumb, but beating Story mode (it's only about 5 matches) puts you into a Hard mode survival against every character in the game. The AI here is MUCH more competent, but there doesn't seem to be any way to access this mode without playing through the Story mode levels first. A pretty glaring mistake IMO.

Unfortunately, the erotic content is ironically the weakest part of the game. The only real nudity comes when finishing a match using a characters Ultra move, which strips the opponent. You can then use a rape attack or just finish the opponent and end the match. The problem is, only a small handful of characters actually have a rape attack and even then the only female characters (in a mostly female cast) who have one don't have a lesbian variant. All in all, the erotic content feels like more a massive wasted opportunity than anything else.

In the end SUPER STRIP FIGHTER IV is the opposite of most hgames on this site; it's a geniunely good game, but not much of a hgame. It's worth getting, but only get it if you want a game, not fap material.

The second game of the series was quite good, and the third has build on it and improved in every area. Rather than explain the basics, I'll just explain what's new since anyone interested in this has probably tried an earlier game or the demo.

The main change is that there are seven playable (plus a secret one) characters. Each has her own special ability, and differing effectiveness in battle. Like before you select to explore areas or view events on the main map, but instead of getting a fixed numbers of actions each character has a 'scouting' skill value that some events require. Money is more common this time around, but you also depend more on the store as well. Thankfully, you can sell junk items this time and trade them in for unique equipment you can't find normally. The difficulty has improved, and all your characters 'dying' now gets more than a slap on the wrist score loss. You get taken to a punishment room with no items and minimal health. Escaping is very difficult, but that's the point. Unless your characters have absurdly high levels, it's pretty much time to reset. The graphics are better, and sex more animated. Combat is a bit more interesting as you can block attacks with proper timing. The only complaint I have is that the food system is still more of an annoyance than a feature. Luckily you can't die from starvation this time, only get a maximum health penalty.

Overall, if you had any interest the previous games this one is better in every aspect. The developer has promised to continue adding content and open up modability, and an English patch is being worked on. hRPG fans should definitely pick this up.
