Yeah, one of the NPCs from "Labyrinth of Holyma" shows up in this, for those who appreciate continuity.

CyberElf sets out to be a game you can play with one hand, and it pulls this off well (pun not intended, thankyouverymuch). Attacking happens automatically once an enemy is in range, making positioning the player's real priority.

The H is... basic, and the likelihood is that free hand won't be doing as much as the author may have intended.

However, as a game with an intentionally simple interface, CyberElf works very well. Studio P have made better games, but CyberElf handles well and is still worth your time.

Angrowa's "Wired Soul" does a commendable job of emulating the feel of the belt-scrolling brawlers of the late '80s and early '90s. Mashing the attack button unleashes combo moves, double-tap a direction to run left/right or roll up/down, hit attack while running for a dash move, get in close to an enemy to grapple.

Special moves are performed by holding the attack button to build up charge in a three-tiered meter, adding an element of strategy to the moment-to-moment gameplay - do you settle for a quick kick now, or can you spare that extra second to build up to your multi-hitting flurry?

Wired Soul. Looks good. Feels great.

For a labyrinth of only nine rooms, there's quite a lot to explore here...

Studio P's "Labyrinth of 9 Rooms" works as a great love-letter to old-school exploratory platformers... H scenes notwithstanding, of course. Then again, with sprites this small, in turn pixels so big, this is about a million miles from the most graphic H game on the market.

No, what we have here is a solid platform action game which smartly escalates its difficulty as you progress - I was a little concerned once I'd unlocked the Sp*ce-J*mp equivalent that I'd suddenly mitigated all of the remaining challenge, but not so - the game still had plenty of surprises on offer.

A worthy throwback.

If you're a fan of the early 16-bit aesthetic, when sprites were still small but colour palettes had grown, Studio P's "Labyrinth of Holyma" is a title you will want to check out. The quality of animation even on sprites made up of relatively few pixels is something to behold.

As for the gameplay, "-Holyma" is an ernest throwback which, H scenes notwithstanding, wouldn't have looked out of place running on a T*rbo Gr*phx console. Fight creatures, gain experience, build up your stats. This is good stuff.

StudioS's "Treasure Hunter Mink" is a single-screen, *very* arcade-style loot-'em-up. That's "arcade-style" even down to an "Insert Coin" prompt, and screen border evocative of the cabinets of old.

Playing the game feels like S*per Cr*te B*x crossed with a hack-'n-slash, and it's a heck of a lot of fun, hunting slimes and skeletons, collecting coins and chests.

As far as I can tell, the H only takes place on the "Continue?" countdown screen.

Animation so smooth, them 2D titties look like they're busting out of your screen...

Yep, this is well done. Team Tanuki's "-Kami" titles are all pretty basic, but do enough to make them worth checking out. There is a formula - fancy Flash animated openings and transitions between scenes, minimal movements in the scenes themselves, but just enough that if you want a little concentrated "you time", you've got all the inspiration you need. That and, let's be frank, a great looking heroine... or is that villainess?...

By "Senpai", circle Umemaro 3D were well on their way to perfecting the skills that would make them the renowned 3DX animators they are today.

Spoiling the audience rotten, Umemaro treats us to two heroines, whose designs borrow elements from the Crazy Female Teacher from the previous release.

It would be true to say that the character models in "Senpai" look dated, but this movie set demonstrates superior, more confident animations. The filth is a lot filthier, the sensuality a lot more sensual.

It holds up - get it, and get yourself off.

Keywords the reviewer selected :

ISAmu.Room's "Scrap Iron Girl" (or "Scrap Iron Maiden" if I'm hearing the title screen announcer correctly) is a one-on-one fighting game inspired by mech-based titles such as the C*berB*ts games and some of the G*ndam spin-offs.

In classic fighting game style, the characters consist of archetypes painted in the broadest strokes, including a swimmer, a nurse, a chef and a shrine maiden, among others, each piloting a robot designed to match their theme (the chef's robot wields a supersized frying pan, for instance).

Combat handles well, with the big, chunky robots duking it out whilst their pilot avatars grief each other in the foreground.

The bundle includes the original version of the game plus the EX edition, which seems to run smoother.

"Sakura Town" is essentially a rogue-lite in which Beanie-Hat Man experiences some strange amalgamation of Gr*undhog Day and the old Spectrum "classic" How To Be A Complete Bastard, this time with the depravity cranked up to 11. Go for a wander, pull as many pants down as you can before the time runs out and death claims you, cash in your experience points and do it all again.

It's dumb. Really, really dumb. And that's okay. The tone of this piece is a lot lighter than a lot of ISAmu-Room's other works... albeit still morally bankrupt, obviously.

Well, this one has *choice*. This mechanic is instantly circumvented if you choose either the second or third options in the "buttons" window, which jump to each divergent path immediately, bypassing the introductory sequence...

Sorry, backing up: Nonki's "Cattl*ya's Brandmark II" offers another voiced slideshow starring the bigger-boobed B*yonetta from Q*een's *xe entertaining three of the luckiest idiots in fiction, and just like the first installment, delivers beautifully illustrated filth at a nice price. Recommended.
