Interview: nii-Cri (April 2016)

Interview: nii-Cri
This month our interview features the cricle nii-Cri who created the big hit simulation game "MILF Next Door - Saeko & The Room"!! We hope you enjoy the read!

Thank you so much for this interview! To start things off, could you please introduce yourself to the DLsite.com users?

Hi, I'm nii-Cri; it is nice to be here!

How did you come up with your Circle's name nii-Cri?

That day I just closed my eyes, smiled and then just shouted out the first word from my mind. Yes, that's it.

What led to becoming a professional game programmer? Was there something that specifically triggered your desire to begin programming?

I loved when it improved all of my skills. It was that with making the games I always want to see.

Why did you select DLsite.com to market your product?

I knew this site for long time and I often thought about publishing my works on this site until I did it.

Have you ever purchased any products from DLsite.com? If so, who is your favorite artist/creator and what are your favorite products?

Yes; the one I purchased is all works in "Choco's circle" (Ragn*rok CG Doujin). Sadly, it seems like he/she closed the circle a long time ago.

While DLsite.com is popular all around the world, we are always looking for feedback to make it better; do you have any suggestions or recommendations to improve our site?

I think it's ok by now.

Your information tells that you reside in Thailand. DLsite.com receives a lot of submissions from Thailand. Also, we have a lot of followers and customers in Thailand. How would you describe the gamming culture in Thailand? Can you also describe how popular Dojin products are in Thailand now?

There are many Doujin works and festivals about it in Thailand; it may not be as big as Japan, but it also keeps growing slowly so it can be noticeable.

The Anime Culture in Japan continues to grow and flourish; Japan has perhaps the largest group of Anime enthusiasts in the world. How do anime enthusiasts from Thailand view Japanese Anime?

I'm surprised when I noticed that we "Thai" and "Japanese" are always interested in something similar at the same time together. I felt like we hoped, just like Japanese hoped, to see about Anime too.

The players that are reviewing your games comment that they believe your games are more dynamic with each new release. Do you feel that way as well? If so, how have you changed your philosophy or style with your new products?

I still love my work like as always, but I am also interested in many things about developing the games. I always make the games because I love to do it. It's just as always dose. lol

From where do you draw your greatest inspiration to create your products?

1. Red Axis's circle - The day I decided to start working on this site is when I saw his works on this site.
2. Sawatex's circle – When I played his game, I felt like "Yes! That's it! I want it more!!"
3. Mu-soft's circle – He's my first-hero! I have the craziest love for his game!

What is the most important consideration when you are developing your products? What element is the most important to you?

Quite hard to answer this question. Maybe just the "funniest to do it" and "people may love it too."

What tools or software do you use when you are creating your products?

Mostly from Adobe's productions.

How do you enjoy spending your time when you are not working? Do you have any hobbies or special interests?

Yeah, making games here is my favorite hobby now.

So many gamers are enjoying your games and they are curious what you have in the works for your next project. Can you provide a preview of what you are working on now for future release? Also, please let us know your goals for your future.

Ah, since the next project is still in development most of the details are still secret and in planning for now. I still can't tell much more of the details right now, but as I look to my next project (as the planning), I can tell that it is something "New & Big" and I never saw that anyone has worked on something like this before.

You have been so very successful in this field. Do you have any advice for new developers to help inspire them?

If you feel like making something, just don't be afraid to give it your time and learn how to do it. lol

Any message for your fans?

Thanks for all of your support! ^^ I Hope you love and enjoy the games! ^^
You haven't tried their works yet? Then check them out now!
