We can't talk about strip games from Japan without first discussing one of the most, if not the most, popular tabletop games in Japan: mahjongg. Strip mahjongg games have been about for nearly three decades, and the circle SPLUSH WAVE have in recent years made a name for themselves as providers of their own unique brand within the genre. SPLUSH WAVE take the characters of popular anime and games and insert them into hentai mahjongg games using a system that has virtually become their trademark.

Mahjongg OG Wars is one such game. Giant robot anime fans and import gamers will probably know immediately what series this game is based upon, and many fan favorite females make their appearance in this game. Here, the main character challenges other characters, male and female alike, in mahjongg matches; of course, only the female characters are subject to stripping and sexual penalties when they lose all their funds. For many people, it's probably more familiar to think of a strip game being played with cards instead of tiles, and it's true that a lot of such games exist. Strip poker and blackjack games are not unheard of in the doujin market, and some can indeed be found on DLsite English. However, a game that some people may not have played but still sees a lot of attention in strip games is called "Daifuugou" or "Rich Man, Poor Man". Gogo! Daifugo RX, by KOBAsoft, is one such game, and among several strip card games that this circle have released. Like mahjongg, daifuugou is not hard to learn and is quite fun.

In this game, you play your way through three lovely girls in daifuugou matches. The game is played by the designated Rich Man playing a card, and the remaining players then playing cards of increasing value, with 2s and Jokers being the highest cards; for example, if the Rich Man plays a 3 card, the next player can play a 4 or any card higher than that. The circuit continues until one player has played the highest card possible for that turn; that player can then play the first card for the following turn. A round ends when only one player has cards left; the person who cleared their hand first is the new Rich Man, and the player with cards left at the end of the round is the Poor Man. This game sets certain goals you have to meet during the game to make the girl strip; as well, there is a slot-based system that gives you different advantages depending on where it lands. As you can see, the game isn't difficult to learn to play, and the artwork in this game is very good, so if you want to play a strip card game that's still different from the usual poker and blackjack, here's a game you should try.

Another well-known Japanese strip game is the game of yakyuken, or "baseball fist", named mostly for the chant that's sung during the game. The game is, quite simply, strip rock-paper-scissors, and based on this simple concept, much like strip mahjongg, multitudes of yakyuken games have been made. One of the most well-known in the doujin hentai community has to be this game from e-ohkoku.

Based in Flash, Naked Festival is the first commercial release of the game, and it contains an unprecedented amount of over 200 characters from anime, games, internet memes, and Japanese pop culture. The game works like this: You select your character (an overwhelming majority of the characters in this game are girls) and the character you would like them to play against. You then make your choice of Guu (rock), Choki (scissors) or Paa (paper) against the game's random selection. The loser of each match is then shown in a brief animation of an article of clothing vanishing from their body, until one of the contestants ends up totally naked and blushing. The game will then allow you to play around with what the losing character is wearing or not wearing in a small mini-game. There's something for virtually everyone in this game with its wide selection of characters, from witches to warriors, from lolis to busty ladies, and it's all down to your skill to determine who is the victor, and who is naked.

Strip games aren't just limited to tabletop games. Some strip games incorporate arcade-style gameplay, action, and scoring. PAXWool has produced a number of moe, arcade-style action games, and among them is a strip game that harkens back to the days of stationary, non-scrolling shooters. In Smack Into the Asteroids, your ship is the last line of defense for the Earth below as thousands of asteroids and ships commanded by cute antagonist lolis threaten to rain down and destroy it. Using the mouse, your goal is to fire an infinite supply of robots at the impending objects to destroy them. By collecting power-ups, you can fire larger robots and at greater rates to impede and destroy the oncoming asteroids and battleships, as well as ram them with your ship if all else fails. If you or the earth take too much damage, the game is over and you have to start from the beginning.

So, what is your reward for completing a stage? Well, the girls begrudgingly remove articles of clothing for each stage you clear, of course, before engaging in a boss battle with you and your mobile suits versus their giant mothership. With four cute girls to choose from and challenging stages, not to mention PAXWool's adorable artwork, this game is a must if you'd like to see an example of a strip game that incorporates addicting arcade action.

Not all strip games are created for fans of women being stripped, shamed, or subject to sexual punishments. M-situation themes, which feature men in submissive and humiliated roles, are a trend that is on the rise in hentai games, and many adventure games have been produced that depict women in the role of dominating men. One such circle are Fetish Fairy, whose specialty is CFNM artwork and manga, but who also recently broke into the doujin game market. This game, Throbbing Tale of Zeus, accurately reflects their sadistic but humorous style. The game's story is set in ancient Greece, in which Zeus seems to be covering the land in semen every five minutes. Guided by Athena, our heroine takes flight to battle her way through to Mount Olympus to put a stop to this unwelcome change in the weather.

Like a standard top-scrolling shooting game, you fly through waves of enemies while attempting to dodge bullets in order to face the boss at the end of each stage. Enemies are mostly naked cherubim with penises nearly half the size of their bodies, but the bosses are several gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon, whose clothes are torn away as you blast them. Central to the game's theme is castration, but the game handles this in more of a manner that parodies older shooting games rather than displaying gore or excessive cruelty. Naturally, this game stands out as being a bit different in terms of hentai content from the rest of the games on this list because of a distinct lack of female nudity, but fans of masochistic themes and penis jokes will love it.

The concept of a block-breaking game is fairly straightforward and rather old hat to gamers with a few years under their belt; the action is controlled by a paddle which must deflect a ball to break blocks near the top of the screen; missing the ball results in losing a life. It's a type of game that has been around for a long time and lives on to this day in the traditional sense, and as part of the hentai genre with strip block-breakers. Most of the latter tend to use the clothes on a female model as the obstacle which must be broken off, and the Ragna-block series by studioRAY does just this with girls from the popular Korean MMO. However, the circle brings their own flavors into the mix in the Ragna-block series by pairing the gameplay style with action game and RPG elements.

Playing against a timer, you must guide the ball to knock against the clothes of the girls to remove them piece by piece. Enemies will appear at times to attempt to impede your progress, but hitting them with the ball will cause items such as spell scrolls to drop; collecting these with your paddle produces different effects, such as shots that can clear several blocks at once. Stages end when you have cleared away layers of clothing from the girl, but the action gets more intense as you strip away more. Because studioRAY are also fans of bukkake, once the girl is naked, you can then choose where to spill the white cream on her exposed body (all of the above is, of course, a valid choice). Strip block-breaking games are proof that a seemingly tired concept can be given new life with the addition of ecchi artwork and premises, and this game is a prime example.

Hentai fighting games caught our eye with this game's predecessor on a console, and StudioS takes the concept of that game, puts the girls in even skimpier outfits, and uses a more fluid and complex fighting engine to give the hentai gamer a much more satisfying (ahem) experience in Super Strip Fighter IV. The members of this game's mostly female cast are pitted against each other in bouts determined by their fists, feet, and in some cases breasts, as they battle it out to determine who is stronger and sexier. Instead of the loser of each round losing clothes, however, characters are given "strip combos", which when used, tear the clothes off of their opponent and render them completely helpless to their whims.

In this expanded edition, several new characters are added, as well as providing the unlockable characters from the previous release as immediately playable characters. In addition to the strip combos, several characters are given "r*pe moves" which can be used on the helpless victims of strip combos as an added ero bonus. These moves are not restricted to the game's few male characters; a few of the more sadistic female characters are able to use these moves on defeated male characters as well. With fluid control, a pulse-pounding soundtrack and an AI that will challenge you every time, this is one of the games that fighting game and hentai fans definitely want in their collection.

RPGs with hentai content are not unknown to the doujin community. Some contain sex and nudity in cutscenes, or use sex as a method of battle. Of course, this has already been discussed in more detail, so I'd instead like to bring your attention to RPGs with clothing-loss penalties. Instead of showing the character with injuries, these hentai RPGs show the female pro- and antagonists losing clothes as they take damage. These games might include other sexual content as well, but clothing loss is quite central to their adult themes, so of course, they have a place among strip games.

In this Nekomakura Soft game, Dragon Prison, you take on the role of sexy Princess Roana on her coming-of-age quest to prove her right to her lineage as well as help to solve the problems of monsters and perverts plaguing the cities of the kingdom. Gameplay is much like a typical RPG with level-building, learning skills, and upgrading weapons and armor. However, Roana doesn't purchase armor as such; rather, her protective gear takes on the form of various sexy cosplay outfits, from long dresses to seifuku, and of course, bikinis. As Roana battles monsters and takes damage, however, her clothes will take damage and begin to leave her exposed and vulnerable, so to speak. The hentai content in this game isn't just limited to racy exposure, however; plenty of sexual content from violation to consensual sex takes place in cutscenes and character interactions. In other words, it's everything you would expect a hentai RPG to have, and more importantly, a great example of a "strip" RPG.

The story goes that two kunoichi in training, sisters who are members of a clan whose lands have been conquered by a rival clan, have set out to reclaim their homeland and defeat the evil warlord who threatens their home. One sister uses a combat style that focuses on mid-range attacks with a tanto and shuriken, and the other relies on swift kunai attacks and magic fireballs to defeat her enemies. The aim of the game is to fight your way through each stage, facing wild animals, enemy ninja, and evil spirits on your way to the stage's monstrous boss, whom you must also defeat. Depending on who you choose to play when you complete each stage, you unlock a different cutscene as the story advances. However, getting to the end of each stage means that the girls must try to keep their wits, as well as their clothes, about them; not only are they stripped completely naked if they lose half of their health, but several enemies will also force themselves upon the girls, and their only means of escape relies on how quickly you can tap the left and right directional keys to execute "bedroom kills" to kill the enemies before they have their way.

With lovely, bouncy animation for the girls and challenging action for side-scroller fans, this is not a game you should miss.
